The Tallest building along Singapore River
SINGAPORE – The Singapore River skyline will before long element another expansion in the form of CanningHill Piers, the private piece of a blended-use venture to be based on the site of the former Liang Court shopping center.
The building – a joint improvement between CapitaLand and City Developments (CDL) – will include the Moxy Hotel, Somerset overhauled condos and retail space on the initial two stories. It is expected to be finished in 2025.
The CanningHill Piers home will include 696 lofts across two squares linked by a sky-bridge on the 24th floor.
Costs for one-room units will begin at $1.16 million, with four-bedders costing $5.22 million, while five-roomers will slow down you $8.1 million.
The taller of the two squares will have 48 stories and measure 180m in stature – making it the tallest building along the river – and be topped off by a super penthouse with an indicative cost of $50 million.
Singapore’s tallest building is Guoco Tower at Tanjong Pagar, at 284m.
Close to 66% – or 531 – of the total units at CanningHill Piers will be a couple of bedroom lofts, according to Ms. Lee Mei Ling, chief VP and head of property improvement at CDL.

“Singapore remains an appealing destination for international voyagers. Also, with the opening of more Vaccinated Travel Lanes, we foresee that there will be interest for abroad investors,” said Ms. Lee.
“While there is clearly an interest for bigger homes, the work-from-home courses of action have additionally spurred interest for more modest units from youthful experts who inhabit home and are thinking of moving out,” she added.
The undertaking was planned by Danish design firm Bjarke Ingels Group and drove by Copenhagen-based engineer Brian Yang.

Mr. Yang said the site was a noteworthy one as far as its topography and history.
“Liang Court was a piece of my youth growing up in Singapore. However, the construction was to such an extent that it isolated the Singapore River from Fort Canning Hill, historically the seat of government during British pioneer rule,” said Mr. Yang.

“One of the difficulties we set out for the planning group was to make a building that was more open and could interface the river to the slope. With this plan, we trust that the public will feel like they are invited in too.”
The CanningHill Piers display area in Merchant Road, close to Clarke Quay, will open to the general population on Friday (Nov 5), with bookings starting on Nov 20.
