CanningHill Piers Location

Seated along the meandering Singapore River, Canninghill Piers Condo is a brand new integrated development being built on the site which is formerly home to the famous Liang Court.  Jointly developed by City Development Limited and CapitaLand, this integrated development is a rare project in Clarke Quay that encompasses a combination of residential apartments, commercial space, an international hotel, and a branded serviced residence.

Limited Residential Supply at Clarke Quay 

Located in Clarke Quay, the CanningHill Piers Location is one of the key attractions for the development.  Together with Boat Quay and Robertson Quay, Clarke Quay is one of the 3 famous lifestyle hubs along the Singapore River.  Known for its abundant F&B establishments such as restaurants, cafes, and pubs, Clarke Quay is well known to both locals and tourists.  As such, many overseas investors are familiar with Clarke Quay and the growth potential this location can offer.

URA’s Renewal Plan for the Central Area

Under the URA Masterplan, the Central Area of Singapore which includes CanningHill Piers Location will undergo major rejuvenation to stay updated in the era of the digital economy which has impacted the way we live, work and play.  In addition, the recent Covid-19 pandemic has accelerated this transformation and making work from home a new norm.  As such, we are seeing a growing need for residences to be designed with facilities to support working from home.  This wave has also expedited the transformation of the Central Business District (CBD).  

Since the release of the Masterplan in 2019, URA has encouraged developers to transform existing old office buildings into mixed-use developments that offer a combination of residential, commercial, and even hotel establishments so that the CBD of the future can be a place for work, live and play.  Today the CBD is a place dedicated primarily to business and the area becomes deserted after office hours.  With the renewal plans, it is foreseeable that the value of properties in the city may grow further due to the transformation from commercial-only purposes to mixed-use purposes.
